Ingredients:

Organic wheat flour*, salt, organic barley malt flour*

*100% certified organic

What you need:

• Bagels baking mix (1 box)
• 1 tsp unsalted butter  (5 grams)
• 1 ¼ cups (300ml) of water (72-75°F)
• 1 packet of included dried yeast (7 grams)

For topping:

Any seeds (e.g., poppy seeds, sesame seeds, sunflower seeds)

How to make it:

1. Add the water, butter, bagel baking mix, and dried yeast into a mixing bowl. Knead the dough slowly for 2 minutes, then a little faster for 8 minutes.
2. Place the dough on a lightly floured work surface, shape it into 8 balls, cover it, and let it rise for 15 minutes.
3. Take each ball, press a hole into the center, and swing the dough around your finger to form a bagel shape.
4. Place the bagels on a lined baking sheet (14 x 16 inches), cover them, and let them rise for 45 minutes.
5. Preheat the oven to 430°F.
6. Meanwhile, fill a large pot halfway with cold water and add two teaspoons of honey. Bring the water to a boil, then boil each bagel for 60 seconds on each side. Remove with a slotted spoon.
7. Return each bagel to the baking sheet and sprinkle with seeds, if desired.
8. Bake the bagels for 22-24 minutes, or until they are golden brown. Let them cool on a wire rack.
